Heal through the creative process.

Massage therapy is a form of bodywork that manipulates the body's soft tissues. The goal of massage therapy is to calm down the nervous system, release tension, and assist in overall healing. There are various types of message therapy including: Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point, myofascial, lymphatic, and more. At The Ohana we use a combination of techniques that most effectively address individual client needs.

The benefits of massage therapy

Massage therapy is a great tool that helps release tension and promotes relaxation and healing. It is widely acknowledged that our body holds past traumas and current emotional experiences - massage therapy helps calm the central nervous system to release stored trauma and emotional blocks. Our clients rave that massage therapy helps:
Reduce stress
Relieve body tension
Increase feelings of well-being

How massage therapy is implemented

At The Ohana, we offer one hour, individual massage therapy sessions, once every two weeks. Every massage is tailored to meet the unique needs of the client at the time of their session. Our massage therapists utilize a combination of various techniques to help clients release tension, relax, and promote healing. Clients receive their massages outside on our beautiful grounds to take full advantage the amazing location. The benefit of receiving massages outdoors is an additional opportunity to practice mindfulness and connect to nature. During their session, clients not only tap into the physical sensations of the massage, but also to the natural elements around them such as a breeze on their neck, or the sounds of birds chirping. The end result: Clients release physical tension, reduce pain, and experience ultimate relaxation. With increased levels of relaxation clients are able to tap into a space that promotes full mind-body-spirit healing.
